The afternoon of January 2nd found me at my favorite beach workout location where I did stairs, incline sprints, and incline lunges. The photo shows the location from the top of the stairs and the top of the incline. The night of January 2nd found me at the flagship Golds Gym, where I lifted weights. I mentioned “incline”. Take the intensity up a notch – or a few notches – and incline it. On the treadmill? Incline it. Sprints? Incline them. Bodyweight walking lunges? Incline them. Another variation of sprints is soft sand sprints at the beach – the soft sand resists you and adds a degree of difficulty/intensity. Always seek progress in your exercise regimen. Of course, if you are new to exercise, it’s going to take a while and you’ll need to respect any injuries or physical conditions that might apply to you. But exercise has a huge mental component. Exercise is both mental and physical. Psych yourself up, not out.
