In my eBook, “Age Re-Defined”, I write that “not all exercise is created
equal” and that my own exercise philosophy involves cross-training and
addressing the whole body, plus cardio, and as many as possible of the
eight components of fitness that are listed in the book. No one method of
exercise is likely to achieve this. Hence, the desirability of cross-training,
of introducing new elements into your exercise regimen.
Recently, I enjoyed some work with a heavy bag as an added element to
a session which included push-ups, burpees, agility drills, and more.
That session reminded me of what I had written about cross-training.
My other training methods include plyometrics, stairs, weights, and treadmills.
